Frequently Asked Questions

What type of a container should I use for my sample and what kind of preservatives does it need?

Green Country Testing can send your facility pre-labeled sample bottles with the correct preservative along with chain of custody forms and coolers at any time to complete your testing requirements.  Click here to see our complete sampling guide in pdf format.  (You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader available for free download to view this file.)

How do I sample correctly to ensure proper results?

Green Country Testing provides a full line of sampling services to meet your facility's needs.  You can arrange for GCT to set up an auto sampler to collect a 24-hour composite or grab sample to meet your permit needs.

How can I get my samples to the lab in a timely manner?
Green Country Testing has a route service to best meet your needs.  You may coordinate one of our field chemists to pickup your sample as part of their regularly scheduled routes.

GCT ships and receives via Airborne, Federal Express, Greyhound, United Parcel Service (UPS) and the United States Postal Service (USPS) on a daily basis.

How long will it take to get my results?

The normal turnaround time for most analytical tests is 7 to 10 days and 3 to 5 days for most BTEX/TPH analysis.  However, some tests may require additional time due to the nature of the test.

Quicker turnaround time is available to meet your needs in most situations.  Please contact our customer service representative to discuss the benefits of a rush service for your samples.
